Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This policy explains what information the Bang app ("Bang", "we") collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Information we collect
- Email address — used to sign you in with a one-time code. It is never shown to other users.
- Profile — the nickname and (optionally) gender you choose.
- Interests — tags you pick, used to order the activity feed for you.
- Activities — activities you host or join, and attendance marked by the host after an activity.
- Messages — what you send in activity group chats.
- Technical data — your IP address when you request a sign-in code, used only to prevent abuse.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run the app: show activities, put participants in the same group chat, and order your feed.
- To prevent abuse, such as limiting how often sign-in codes can be requested.
The only email we send is the one-time sign-in code you request. We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
What other users can see
- Your nickname, gender, interest levels and the activities you join are visible to other signed-in users.
- Your group chat messages are visible to the members of that group.
- Your email address is visible only to you. Attendance marks are visible only to the host and to you.
Service providers
Our servers and database run on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and sign-in emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service. These providers process data only on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Sign-in codes are deleted once used or expired. Account information is kept while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, except where we must keep something to comply with law.
Your choices
You can change your nickname and gender in the app at any time. To access, correct or delete your data, or to delete your account, email hello@serigin.com from the address you sign in with.
Children
Bang is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
